Primary 7 Awards

5th Jun 2023

A number of our Primary 7 children have been extremely busy over the past few months representing their soccer club, Windmill Stars, at various activities. Harry and Jay were chosen to represent Windmill at the Blackpool Cup.  As a school we supported Windmill’s fundraising efforts with a raffle. Let’s just say footballs and Match Attaxs are very popular as prizes and we raised a super £338 for Windmill Stars. A massive thank you to everyone who supported the raffle.

Continuing this amazing success the Windmill Stars 2011 team won the Lisburn League Cup. As always highly skilled and talented students from St Moninna’s Cloughogue are involved, and our very own James McCourt captained the team on the day. We have no doubt that James’ skill and encouragement for his team led to this success. Congratulations to James and Windmill Stars.

Primary 7 pupil, Eva McKeown, is on a winning streak. She has had recent success in the World’s Irish Dancing Feis, the Environmental Youth Speak competition and now she has won the Bell Perpetual Cup in Newry Feis.  Remember us all when your name is in lights, Eva.

We truly have a talented bunch in St Moninna’s PS. Cloughoge. Senan and Lorcan Greene won the under 13 piano duet at Newry Feis playing Coconut Rumba.  A super achievement boys, congratulations.
