Primary 7 have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Business Beginnings programme which has allowed them to get real business experience by setting up and running their own company. They have been very busy over the last few weeks creating their Eggcellent Easter Enterprise and getting everything ready to sell at their shop.
This experience has given them an insight into how business works in the real world. It is great to see the students having fun working on developing skills that will be useful to them as they move into post primary school, and eventually help them in their future career.
The Business Beginnings programme allows the pupils to focus on skills that are key to success in life, such as communication skills, teamwork, decision making and problem solving.
At St. Moninna’s we feel that it is important for us to support and allow young people to develop these skills.
The photos show the fun had by the Primary 7 selling their products and hopefully all the children and parents that visited the shop enjoyed their experience too.
With the profits made from the Eggcellent Easter Enterprise the Primary 7 children plan to organise a fun activity to mark their last few days of primary school in June.
